Just to keep you informed, the Governor of Floriduh just signed in to law a bill that allows residents to kill a Florida Black Bear in self defense (if you feel your life is threatened).

Now.............like most of the Nation, there have been laws in place for quite some time that allow you to kill a human being in self defense, but, somehow, we needed a law to apply specifically to bears. (Go Figure!)

That's what I thought, also. But, since the recently passed legislation was specifically directed toward bears, I guess, up to now, you were legally obligated to offer no resistance and let the bear tear you apart piece-by-piece.

I feel much better, now that I know it is legal for me to fight back. (Whew!)

In Montana, Grizzly Bears have more rights than property owners. Shoot a bear and you to jail
