Best paper for Soft Touch Aqueous

Is there a recommendation for the best type of coated paper finish when using Soft Touch Aqueous? Does the effect work out best (most evidently Soft Touch) on gloss or silk or dull cover?

We've tested this and have found very little difference. You will see some benefit from applying normal AQ to the sheet first. For example if you're doing a spot soft touch, seal the whole sheet with gloss first and then apply the soft touch. Also, soft touch takes a long time to set up. You'll feel a difference days later.

Thanks! Feedback from the press operators suggested that they prefer gloss - maybe they think it's an easier surface than silk to coat?
