All,

I am trying to print on black Touche cover, and the qm keeps telling me the sheet is late. it will run white cover fine. will the sensors not see a black sheet ?

Try turning the double sheet detector off (middle positon) then go to special features 19 and turn that off as well

Take the sensor and the sensor plate off and clean. Pretty sure you have tried this. Also move infeed wheels to different positions.

Heres what i did. I cleaned the 3/2 valve, then went to sheet arrival timing. s, 3+7, 68. For my machine the top number should be between 320 and 321.5. I got it to feed after adjusting this, but i adjusted yesterday and it made no difference. go figure.
Maybe between the valve and the timing something clicked ? Anyway, ill see if i can print now...

I have to always service the 3/2 valve on my quick master. It is usually noticeable when I run 60 lb uncoated. I figure I have to clean it every 20 K impressions. I also found that Crisco is better then the high priced stuff that Heidelberg sells. Thanks for posting the timing numbers I am going to check that out tomorrow.

Wow! Mine hasnt been cleaned in the 7 years ive been here. my bad.;)

So when i couldnt print, i put in an email to Heidelberg. It turns out the press wont run that sheet because it absorbs the infra red light from the sensor, instead of reflecting it. Go figure.

Do you make this adjustment by adjusting the infeed rollers?
