Brochure confusion: What is the weight/size of the Xerox 1000?

This should be a simple question but the Xerox 800/1000 brochure is a bit confusing. Look below, is the base system 3,197 lbs or 2,200 lbs?

IOT Base Printing System (without RIP and/or feeding/
finishing devices):
–– 100" (W) x 44" (D) x 74" (H)
(2,540 mm (W) x 1,105 mm (D) x 1,865 mm (H))
–– Weight: 3,197 lb. (1,450 kg) (weight is without
toner, PC-UI)

•• Base Printing System (without RIP and/or
feeding/finishing devices):
–– 118" (W) x 46" (D) x 74" (H)
(2,995 mm (W) x 1,107 mm (D) x 1,865 mm (H))
–– Weight: 2,200 lb. (1,000 kg)

I'm thinking of the base system with the standard trays but NOT with the hi-caps, interface module, and finishing/stacking. What the heck does IOT mean?

Thanks,

Steven

IOT basically is the print engine. I don't know for sure what the correct weight it but I'd bet it is the 3000+ number not the 2,000. If you read the MSDS and the install guide the machine uses two different amounts of power, and ironically, the one stating it uses more power generates less heat than the one using less power.

I think IOT = Input Output Terminal ... old school name for strip down print engines.

I agree, the brochure seems confusing. Usually IOT refers to the print engine with no accessories. The Base Printing System usually refers at an IOT + the minimum accessories that needs to work.

I think that in this case, Base Printing System refers to the print engine (IOT) + the OCT module including toners, all internal cartridges, etc.

Probably the weight numbers in the brochure need to be swapped.
