I know of an excellent used Xerox 240 with large deck & bkltmaker available, for the taking over of 2+ years payments with cashback, or good straight sale.

We have also been looking at the KM 6501 & Creo, excellent image quality & consistency, lower resolution but actually more consistent as a result.
Also Canon 6000 brilliant machine, best registration & image quality (no oil or wax probs)... may depend where you are for service though.
And Xerox 700 very fine image, good registration and fast service.
Ricoh 900 looks a bit oily, but robust.
Oce will supply model 900 at no cost, click only... brilliant image quality; not SRA3.

you are comparing bicycles, cars and vans. Xerox 700 has no good registration (it is above 1mm, with DC240 you can expect to have it around 2-3 mm). Haven't had the chance for Ricoh 900 or KM6501. But in general i notice that Creo is pretty buggy.
If the Oce offer includes servicing with click charge, the price is right and you have enough volume you can not go wrong with taking that one (at least as a second unit). No other unit will print on surfaced materials, which is a big plus of OCE.

thanks: 'free' Oce & Konica 6501 being ordered

Thanks mate. I agree...
Strange though that all these different levels of machinery are suddenly offered to us at around the same prices.. all extra keen to sell this year. Kodak are now selling NexPress through Ikon, without a click charge, and Canon are doing better deals.

We are just about to order a KM 6501 with Creo & Pro Dongle, and get Oce to swap an old Oce we have for the new 900 on a click-only deal (10 - 12p, no volume commit). As you say, its a brill machine for A3 & textures. :)
