Client supplied Photoshop file as 4 col...wants it 5...is there an easy fix?

Hi folks first post so go easy. Reaonably clued up in photoshop but i think this is going to take me ages to sort. There are about 12 sep layers some images and some rasterized type, they are all specked up in 4 col but client wants what appears in green to be a spot. She has aactually added the spot channel but is empty! Am i right in thinking she needs to really start again? If it was something simple like a logo etc i could prob sort it but with there being so many layers with effects etc and it being quite complex i don't really want to get stuck into it only to struggle and have to tell her to sort it her end.

Need to phone her today so any help much appreciated!
Cheers

If it were me in your shoes first I'd call the designer and ask WTF she had in mind. Could be she couldn't do what she wanted, so scraped the idea but didn't delete the spot channel.

Multiple layers is not too difficult to sort through. However, is this green color created through effects/filters? If so, I think that's a bigger problem, and I hope for your sake, that green is a background color.
