will there be a big color shift if i print cmyk and not the usual kcmy? what will be some of the disadvantages doing the cmyk print sequence. furthermore, i plan to use the ucr for the existing jobs, by shifting from kcmy to cmyk with more of the gray and black separations going to k plate, will i encounter some difficulties in mass production? thanks

No. Black is achromatic.
what will be some of the disadvantages doing the cmyk print sequence. furthermore,
Because Black will have the greatest Ink coverage then there might be issues related to black Ink drying at the delivery.

UCR only replaces the chromatic cmy inks in the neutral and near neutrals.
GCR, which is typically the default separation method today, replaces chromatic colors with Black wherever the three chromatic inks appear.
UCR will potentially deliver press work with less color stability/consistency through the run and consume more Ink than standard GCR separations.

then you have to make your own press profile first becuase official one based on kcmy except news paper printing, ink tack coverage etc should be adjusted accordingly too

When I was an apprentice printer, I was taught that printing black last could shade or darken the images, printing yellow last would give a superior gloss to the print
Of course, we were printing 4 colour jobs on Heidelberg Cylinders and Vertical Meihles at the time ;)
I have always printed black first unless there was a particular reason not to, for example an overall heavy black coverage with undercolour.

US and Japanese ink manufactures typically tack rate the ink K C M Y.

Euro inks are generally Mono/Uni-Tack. They have the same ink tack for every color.

That said, as long as you maintain C M Y in sequence, you’ll maintain proper traps. Black will only get darker or dirtier by the introduction of other color ran prior, depending the coverage if ran last. For the most part, Black is highlight/mids/and three quarter tone dot.

You can always measure the L* of your black on the color bar to see if contamination occurs. The lower is goes, the darker it’s going..
