Compliant PDF/X4 and XMP

I'm using InDesign CS3 and Acrobat 9 to make PDF/X4:2007 PDF's, and they keep giving me XMP errors. Any idea how I can get around this? I'm at a loss.

Also, would anyone know why PDF/X4:2008 isn't available? And I was under the impression that PDF/X4 required PDF v1.6, but I lose the ability to choose an output intent unless I use v1.4, which seems to be the default for PDF/X4:2007.

InDesign CS3 only supported a DRAFT version of PDF/X-4, not the final version. You need to either upgrade to CS4 so you can create directly _OR_ try to convert the PDFs out of ID into final PDF/X-4 using the tools in Acrobat 9.
