cp bourg trimming issues

Does anyone own a cp bourg sbm4 booklet maker and have problem with the face trim unit not able to face trim a certain amount of thickness. We are only running able to run 10 80lb gloss text sheet face trim with success. Anything thicker will trim and then freezes on the way down as if the blade is dull or not enough strength to cut the book.

We have two and both are the same way. 2005 and a 2007

So they are 8 and 6 years old. Did they always have this problem? How often do you change the blade or have it sharpened? It could just be due to lack of proper maintenance.

even if we put a blade that is sharpened in, it is the same. We got a mechanic to try and still the same. Don't know if it did it when we first got the machine. I wasn't here. I've been here for like 2 years only now and its been like this since then....
