Hope this is the place for this question.
We've been supplied with pdf files that appear to be prinergy generated, they have a creo annotation in the upper left corner. Most of the pages crash at the iGen DocUsp. We printed page by page and found that the crashers had traps non-crashers did not. If we manually remove the trap objects the file becomes a non-crasher.
Can anyone suggest how to either remove the trap objects (we have hundreds of these pages) or to disable the trap instruction. That's our best guess what's going on and how to fix. We would prefer NOT to manually remove trap objects. Make that GREATLY prefer.
We have already tried:
refrying to pdf/x-1a (and other flavors)
optimizing to several flavors (checking just about every deletion option)
normalizing via our Esko Backstage
Rasterizing works! Doesn't feel very good though.
All suggestions welcome.
