Hi All:
We have a remanufactured OCE CS665. Basic unit- no additions. It has an external Fiery server.
We initially had the machine set to turn itself on Monday through Saturday at 6:30 each morning, which is fine. But we are having problems getting the machine out of low power mode on Sundays.
When it goes into low power mode, the Fiery server gives us a message to "check power and cable." When we send a print from a computer, nothing happens. The only way to get the machine out of lower power mode is to hit the Start button, and then when we do that, the machine gives us the following message: "please input desired copy time". And when I input a random number the message goes away and the thing finally starts to warm up.
So here's the question: Is there any way to set the machine so that either a) pushing the "Start" button or b) sending a print job starts the printer on its warm-up cycle?
I need to make the operation of this as simple as possible. We are not a repro shop with dedicated techs. We are a 25 person architecture office with an occasional need to print huge presentations on really short notice, which is why we have this machine. And if someone wants to do some work over a weekend or late evening, they will need to be able to print and copy with a a minimum of fuss.
Thanks in advance for any assistance. We asked the tech who came by to help teach us about the machine but he didn't seem to know anything about it. In the meantime, I've set the machine to turn itself on every Sunday morning as well.
Thanks in advance for any help.
regards,
kn4n
