PressWise, a division of SmartSoft, Inc., is hiring a Director of Product Management based in its Salt Lake City, UT office. PressWise is an industry-leading SaaS print MIS and workflow automation system. The Director of Product Management is responsible for all activities associated with the PressWise service, from product definition through to development and tech support requirements.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage and develop a team of developers, tech support and QA staff who are responsible for PressWise products.
2. Drive the vision for products and develop and manage multi-year product road map.
3. Maintain deep understanding of competitive offerings, customer and market requirements.
4. Interact with clients and PressWise client-facing teams in gathering the requirements and promoting the products in line with the marketing team’s efforts.
5. Educate and support the PressWise sales and marketing team on products and market considerations. Attend trade shows and events as needed.
6. Lead cross-functional teams in creating product delivery plans and deliver high quality products according to those plans.
7. Develop processes and methodologies for efficient definition, development, hosting and implementation of the PressWise software system.
8. Build third-party partnerships and manage existing partner relationships.
9. Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process with respect to PressWise revenue and cost projections as requested by senior management.
10. Contribute to the company’s efforts in the international expansion of PressWise.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
1. 7+ years of product management leadership experience planning, launching and supporting complex software products, including knowledge of hosting, product deployment, support/implementation, QA processes etc.
2. Knowledge of printing industry, including both digital and offset.
3. Experience developing SaaS applications and experience in the following:
• Languages: PHP, JavaScript, Python
• Technologies: HTML (4, 5), XML, CSS, Apache, SOAP, RESTful, JSON, AJAX, JQuery
• Other Tools: Selenium, Subversion, Git
• OS: Linux (CentOS preferred but not required), Windows and MacOS
• Database: MySQL, ODBC and other data access protocols
4. Excellent understanding of the product development life-cycle processes and methodologies.
5. Strong analytical and technical skills combined with business acumen.
6. Experience in developing complex, data-intensive, and highly scalable SaaS applications.
7. Education Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar required.
