FYI - forwarding the below email just in case you are approached by a "phisher":
Dear Valued Customers and Partners:
Over the last few days, EFI has been notified that a phisher has accessed our data at a third-party on-demand CRM solution provider that we use. EFI uses this service to hold customer and other third party information including names, addresses, email addresses and other generally available contact information. At this time we have no reason to believe that any other personal information such as credit card, driver license or social security numbers were in the system records.
This incident began when a third party employee was the victim of a phishing scam that permitted the contact list to be copied. As a result of this, a small number of customers have begun receiving phishing emails that look like invoices or order requests. Some emails may even appear to come from someone at EFI. These are phish emails and could potentially cause damage if you open their attachments or click on the link to the URL they send in the email.
We ask that you be suspicious of any unexpected emails with attachments or links, and to delete these if there is any doubt to its legitimacy. Our provider is working with international authorities to track the phishing groups and further protect their data while the security team at EFI has already worked diligently to change our passwords and protect any future intrusion.
We sincerely regret any inconveniences this issue may have caused, and you can be assured that we will be assisting all agencies in their investigations. In addition we are also working diligently with our third-party CRM provider to increase security measures to reduce the risk of future malicious attacks. You have our commitment to keep you informed of the progress and to make sure your data is protected as much as possible.
