BLS's North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for Printing Industry is 323
See article in Printing Impression magazine.
Printing Impression magazine started the Top 500 Ranking in 1974. Over the years it has gotten smaller from 500 to 400 to now 300.

Hi. Steve, man has this industry changed. We know that it is more efficient with smarter devices but it sure shows a trend. Do you know what the impressions were yearly. That would be interesting to cross reference. Hope you are doing well. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I recall Frank Romano from RIT had good data about this?
Impressions may be misleading because of width of sheet/web and circumference of plate cylinder around. Maybe better metric is # of A4 pages? Press manufactures (Heidelberg) may have good data?

if the Y axis is earning potential and Y=450 is Average Wage, that graph is spookily accurate for me. #glad to be done with it.:)
