Epson adjustment wizard Software for Epson SP 9600

Hello,
please help: i have the adjustment wizard for installing a new printhead in my epson 9600. Unfortunately i am not able to run this software on xp.
After choosing my printer i get the message: "The selected printer cannot be used" Has anybody experienced similar problems?
Can i install a new printhead without the program into my machine?

Have you downloaded the right driver from the manufacturer's web for your windows?

of course. The printer is accessible and printing from Photoshop is possible. So the question to the experts is: Is it possible to install the print head without this stupid software by entering the voltage values via the printer panel? Is that possible?

I don't think so. I hope, someone else has the solution to this problem.
