Examining the best fount solution.

The attachment contains the observed values when I tested two fount samples. Can any one judge and tell which is the best suitable between this two.

I have simply chosen Sample 1 because at just 1.5% of addition it attains the required base level p.H 4.6 and it gives less conductivity when compared.

The logic behind is: For good operation of printing press the dampening solution should be maintained at 4.8 to 5.2 and should have less conductivity.

go for sample 1 because the ph is acheived without conductivity getting increased too much. if manufacturers recommendation is 2% then fo for 2% only because if you put 1.5% you shall be putting lesser of other ingrediants also like anti-corrosion additives, gum biocides etc (if the fount has in its formulation). Conductivity is a just QC tool and there is no exact benchmark/ number. If you are putting IPA also then conductivity will go down. same shall happen if you reduce the soln temp
