I can not answer why Creo did what they did, the orginal trapping in Prinergy was Heidelberg programming. Once Creo bought Scitex, the Joint Venture was disolved. But the license ageement carried on until expiration. Full Auto Frames was raster based and Prinergy was vector based. I am not a programmer but perhaps it was not an easy task?This begs the question, since Creo now owned Scitex, why wouldn't they utilise the code in Full Auto Frames instead of re-inventing the wheel?
