Fuji and Kodak CTP/plates

Hello, I work for a company that currently uses 2 Cobalt 4 machines (we put one in and then had to get a second for back up!!!) but we are now looking to upgrade to something that works. We have been approached by Fuji, Kodak and Heidelberg. Fuji and Kodak are the 2 we are most interested in at the moment, with Kodak slightly ahead due mainly to the rip. We want to move away from the LPNV plates we are using at the moment and go to thermal, Fuji have suggested the PlateRite 4300 and Kodak the Magnus 400. This is a bit of a general question but has any one got any opinions on either of the two machines + the processorless plates from both manufactures?! I don't know where to turn at the moment with all the things that have been thrown at us!! Thank you for the help!!!

Re: Fuji and Kodak CTP/plates

We are currently using the Fuji thermal plates and the quality is fine, but light sensitivity to the plate is a problem. We have to keep them covered before going on press. Also, debris from the plate ends up in the press and can cause problems.

We haven't tried the Kodak plate.
