Guillotine Error Message Cut 2000

Hi,

I'm not sure if I'm posting in the correct area, so forgive me if not.

I have a guillotine - equivalent to the Formax Cut-True 22S (http://www.formax.com/pdf/Cut-True 22S Op Manual.pdf) - just badged differently.

I'm getting the error message "Cut 2000" but the solution in the manual is not working -

“Cut 2000” means the blade has reached its life cycle of 2000 cuts. Please put in a new blade.
Press the button on the right and turn the select switch to the middle position to reset the life cycle to zero"

I think it should reset without changing the blade? Pressing the button and turning the switch is not resolving the issue. Can anyone assist?

Does it have an "Automatic" blade changing routine? If so, try going through that routine without actually changing the blade. That may reset something that will then allow you to reset the counter.

Bu why not change the blade anyway?
