According to the USPS, Hawaii is to become the 4[SUP]th[/SUP] state in the USA to conduct election voting by mail, beginning with a pilot program in 2020. Other states that vote by mail are Colorado, Oregon & Washington.

The USPS works with election officials across the nation—including secretaries of state, county election directors & others—to ensure election mail and political mail requirements are met. Studies show, allowing people to vote by mail boosts turnout, especially during lower-profile & mid-term elections.

There might be a ballot printing job there!

Does this mean that by making it easier to vote that Hawaiians will now be russian to vote?

There are lots of very smart people doing fascinating work on cryptographic voting protocols. We should be funding and encouraging them, and doing all our elections with paper ballots until everyone currently working in that field has retired.
