Hello

We have a Heidelberg SX102-8P and the CPU in the console has 2 hard disks. Can someone confirm if the 2 hard disks are copies of one another or do they have different information.

Also Is there a way to make a clone of these hard disk and keep them, so in case of a Hard disk failure one can swap and get the machines running immediately.

Thanks

Hello,

The two hard disks are not identical, and they should never be swapped with each other.

You can create a backup using Acronis. However, there is an important limitation: this method only works reliably with systems up to Windows XP Embedded.

If your system is running a newer version, the image you create will likely not work. When you restore it, the system will probably boot into a blue screen. The reason is that when the machine shuts down, the system writes a sleep-state flag, as if the system was put into a suspended state. Because of this, the captured image becomes inconsistent and results in a blue screen after restoration.

Solving this issue requires advanced work and modifications, which I generally do not recommend. It can take at least three days of work to resolve properly.
