Yep, you can do both of those if you have a recent version of PitStop. Which version do you have?

Do you have sample PDF files you can send me?

abc,

Per a previous thread of his, I think hassan's attached sample originated from a scanned rgb tiff and is not a pdf.

Hassan if it's an image file you want to work with Photoshop is a better option.

For PDF files PitStop can proably help.

yes I know .I did it on photoshop.I learned at this site but I would like to learn by pitstop too .

That doesn't help Hassan, that's just your original Jpeg inside a PDF.

As I mentioned before with this type of file you need an image editor, not a PDF editor.

Nice try though! :)

the Jpeg file is a page of original file of a book my customer send it for me.as I said I learned how I convert it to cmyk as black 100% by photoshop
Just I wanted to do by pitstop. I thought it isnt possible because it is a jpeg file not a PDF
Thanks again :)

Is the customer really printing out and scanning you pages – when the sample clearly appears to be of a digital origin (say MS Office)? Why would they not send you the original digital files, and instead print and then scan? It makes no sense in any modern workflow, the industry has moved on since the 1990’s…

When I originally mentioned Acrobat Pro and PitStop in your other topic post, that was before I knew that you only had a scan (as you mentioned text, however there is no text in a scan, it is all pixels).

PitStop Pro can do simple ICC device profile conversions exactly like Photoshop can. So one can make the profile available to PitStop and get the same result there too. Photoshop has the added ability to apply special DeviceLink Profile CMYK to CMYK conversions to images (where as PitStop only applies DLP to text and vectors, not images).

I think that you need better clients Hassan, I hope that you are charging them a premium to handle their “artwork” :]
