HP Designjet 5500 How do I print two PDFs side by side?

I have a 42 inch wide printer and I would like to print two 20 inch PDF files side by side. I can send the files to the printer either via Parallel Printer Cable or via the Network Interface. I don't understand how I can print side by side so I don't waster paper. (See the image below) Is this done through the Network browser printer interface?

Can you place the two PDF files into a 40" wide InDesign file, export a PDF, and send the PDF to your printer?

I might be able to do that, but I think there is a way to do this through the printers Network Interface.

Have you tried sending a multi page file? I've always printed with Acrobat, only ever used the network interface to see who in my office is printing an image 25% the size of the page.

I haven't tried it yet. I've never used the network interface. I looked at the network interface and it allows me to send a file to the printer. I will check later today when I get to the printer and see what happens if I send two files.
