iGen3 - offline perfect binding glues

Has anyone found a good perfect binding glue that adheres well to covers printed 2 sides on an Xerox iGen3? Oil residue from fuser hinders adhesion.

Any suggested glues that work would be appreciated.

No we are not printing on the spine? but we are printing on the inside covers. The fuser oil residue hinders the glues adhesion.

Does the fuser oil get applied to the whole sheet or just the imaged areas ???

If it's just the imaged areas a decent sized glue trap should do the trick...

Otherwise i think you may be out of luck as even normal offset inks cause issues with glue... maybe ask xerox they seem to have a lot of custom solutions for digital... considering it's their machine they should have a solution ?

iGen3 - offline perfect binding glues

Any printing on the inside of the cover will expose the spine area to fuser oil, which tends to repel conventional EVA adhesive.

There are some labor-intensive work-arounds (one customer we know used a sanding wheel to abrade the spine area), but the best fix is to print one-side only or use a PUR adhesive.

works like magic, much better and cheaper option than PUR.
We have been using CB Bourg for over one year, all glue reltated issues are gone

This really works by only cleaning the surface???!!!??? On what binder did you put this on.
