Path appears smooth with rounded radius in preview mode but that contour is not visible in outline mode. How do I make the rounded path selectable in outline mode? Not an Illustrator whiz so use use small words and speak slowly.
You have the objects corner radius set as an effect. You need to expand the object (object --> expand appearence) to see the round corners in outline mode.
