Hi

Past 2 days we are facing problem in the Brisque, when we expose some files or large size files taking too much time (2-3hrs) to rip..

past 2 years we wont face such a type of problem..

earlier we found that there was some ram problem ; that also sorted by changing some other ram no errors at all ..

even i tried to rip those files in psm 8, i couldn't rip those files stating that ps error limitcheck like that..

Whether its related to ram on both pc & mac or something else..

Need suggestion regarding this

regards

Kala,
What version of Brisque software are you using? Also What version of Quark Express was used? Do you get any Error messages? Any special characters were used in the files? Have you done recently an FSCKEY?

1. What type of design software are you using?
2. What version design software are you using?
3. When you say large file are you talking about the file (kb/mb/gb) or width and height of the job?

As a quick test you could download our demo version of the Harlequin RIP from
Harlequin RIP Demo, RTI Harlequin Demo TIFF, Epson, HP, CTP Platesetter RIP Software

Then save your file as a PDF from the design application. Go to the RTI RIP-Kit menu once the RIP is installed and scroll down to PRINT FILE. Select your file and the DEFAULT PAGE SETUP. Then click PRINT. If the job shows up on the monitor then you know you do not have a job issue and your issue is likely your RIP software. You could also setup a high resolution 2400 or 3000 dpi page setup at the RIP if you want to put the job through its paces. Hope this information helps.

Hi patch

i changed the ram afterthat also same status with that particular file ; i ripped thro harleqin no prob but after 2 hours file got ripped no error messages..

Its a illustrator file with lot of vector objects which was ps fixed and checklisted only this file creates problem rest of the files ok ..

What do you mean by FSCKEY?

Version AIX 4.33

You could use a TIFF Harlequin RIP to output prescreened TIFF files to your older RIP. This would work as long as your existing RIP could process a 1-bit TIFF.
