InddCS2 fonts issues

I'm having problems with "bin" fonts on our PC, which I don't use often.
What are they and why won't they load.

thanks
rande

I'm not a PC person at all.
I might need to buy these fonts. I'm right in the middle of this
nightmare job.
The client fonts aren't working, some are just "0" k.
most are bin files.
If I were to buy them do I need to worry about the OS. I don't know what the client is using.
This is a sensitive situation. We just need to make this happen.
I'm hoping someone can give me some insight and/or a place to buy these.
thanks

Sounds like you are trying to work with Mac fonts on a PC which will not work. Your best bet is to find the Opentype equivalent and replace in your file or if they are truly PC fonts that have for some reason been MacBinary encoded , decode them using Stuffit.

Hi rande
It looks to me that you have a compressed file compressed for mac
I am not sure if you can uncompress them is winrar or winzip
Try to upload them somewhere and ask a mac person to uncompress them for you with stuff it
If they are Open type fonts or true type fonts you might be able to use then on your pc
If are postcript not a chance
To buy fonts try Find, try, buy and download fonts online : MyFonts
Good luck

EDIT: Prepress-parasite, you are too fast

Thanks guys
Yes I figured it out they're individually compressed.
I ran them thru expander and glad to find out they're mac files.
I still need to buy acouple tho

Are you needing to buy Mac or PC Fonts?? Which fonts do you need? Maybe some of us can let you have the fonts.

What application are you going to use them in? - oh - I see now INDD
Did they not send them all
so - you need to buy some of the un-supplied fonts?
If you are using InDy - you can just use the MAC fonts
or your own MAC fonts - if you have the correct fonts.
