Indesign Version?

Read about an app somewhere that tell which version of Indesign CS a file is. We get CS, CS2, CS3, CS4 in all the time . I like to work in the same version as the designer so they can open their files when they ask for them back at a later date with out having to reopen and save inx files.

Here it is. Once installed, you drag your INDD file onto its icon and it will open the document up in the correct version:

The one I use is called JoJo and it can be setup to identify and open InDesign and Quark files.
