Ink building up on coater blanket

Anyone know why we are getting ink build up about a inch wide, horizontal on the coater blanket while runningthe coater? I have tried more coating and it may help a little, but doesn't get rid of it. It's almost like maybe a bump streak. This is a Heidelberg SM102. With the old style coater, not anilox.

Few questions -

Is this happening with all coatings (gloss, satin, and matte) or just one in compared to another?

Have you checked the stripe thickness and verified that you're not overpacked?

If you needed a quick fix, clean the blanket the best you can with either coating cleaner or amonia (whatever your preference is) and buff it dry. Once cleaned, try once again cleaning the coating blanket surface with bleach. Applying bleach to the coater blanket will make it extremely water receptive (Hydrophilic) and repel ink from building up.

Yes it's pretty much on all coatings. It may be worse on gloss. Yes we have the stripe thickness set at I think 5mm pan to chrome and 6to7mm chrome to blanket. Thanks for your help. Viscosity is 20 seconds to #3 Zahn cup. We clean the blanket spotless and it comes back around 8 to 9 thousand sheets.

It's around 12 and 15 inches from the gripper and lately a little around 22 inches. But more at the 12 and 15. Then you clean the blanket and it's fine for another 8 to 9 thousand.

It's a 2007 sm102 Heidelberg. With the old style coater. The part of the manual that tells you the settings are missing. Does anyone know the exact settings on the old style coaters for a Heidelberg SM102, 2007?

Thank you for the help, no I never checked that. But we did end up figuring it out and I meant to post it in here. It ended up being the old coater blanket was the problem. We put a new one on and it was ten times better. Barely any ink build up at all. Not sure how old the blanket was, but it was atleast probably 6 months old. Again thank you for the help everyone.
