‘I should have become a Psychiatrist instead.’
(printers already belong to the ‘crazy bunch’ crowd, so this might be considered self-help)

I have a grandson who's crazy about cooking. He's worked for waffle house for 10 years. Worked for Disney. Couldn't afford to live in Orlando. Went back home and back to work for waffle house. Tried to explain to him, as a cook, you're never going to make more than 16 to 20 dollars an hour, not to mention the terrible hours, weekends and holidays. Like printing, he said it's in his blood. Guess printing is not the only mirage out there.

Should have become anything else but a prepress tech, as the print industry isn't what it used to be. No job security, mergers and acquisitions everywhere you look, prepress jobs are far and few between and don't pay what they used to.
