ink levelling

hello
we are having mananugrhic made web offset machine FRONTLINE for quite some time there is ink levelling problem.As machine speed goes up it becomes pale inking and machine speed comes down there was over inking{in CYAN} we checked all roller cantacts all ok. where else i check to fix this problem.

There could be something wrong with your press speed/Ink ductor speed curve. As the press speeds up you are getting ink starvation. Also check you press dampening speed curve this could also be set incorrectly and you are feeding too much water into the ink causing the ink density to drop.
You could also have some inking rollers that are not set correctly and as the press speeds up they are not transferring ink properly. Just some things for you to look at.

Hello sriraghaven,

Before going into the area of Mechanical/Electrical Press Malfunctions.


Check the following - 1) are the press operators - Start-Up/ SOPs correct?

2) Are you running excessive damprning on the Cyan Unit? - Go and look at the

plate with the press running at production speed, does the plate look "Very Shiny" ?

never mind the Press Console Dampening Indicators reading. Also check any printed

Cyan image area for "Wash out"

Next, address any future press related problems to the - "Sheetfed/Web Offset Discussion Forum".
