ink tracking

Ok I have never heard of a sheet fed didde . . you will have to look at the tracks and see where in the press they are made . . . multi color - single color . . single color would probably be in the delivery area, multi color could be anywhere the sheet transfers from one unit to the other . .. good luck - lots of variables :)

Ink tracking or marking is usually caused by the wet (inked) side of the sheet coming in contact with a transfer (or roller) surface where the speed differs and causes friction resulting in marring the wet side of the sheet. This problem can be eliminated with several types of anti-marking materials such as glass beaded materials or friction free tapes that are applied to the surface to reduce friction and in some cases buildup the surface of the transfer or roller to reduce speed differences. We here at Shinoda USA have several types of materials that can assist in eliminating these problems.
