The inkjet “Zone of Disruption” is a busy segment, and it will very likely get busier as drupa 2016 approaches, according to InfoTrends.

Definition: “Inkjet products with a capital cost of less than $1 million, with competitive running costs and high productivity”. Their speeds are faster than current cut-sheet toner devices and cost less than most 20” roll fed color presses.

Xerox color inkjet in InfoTrend’s “Zone of Disruption”

With the announcement of the Brenva HD Production Inkjet Press, Xerox is showing its first product to be jointly developed from start to finish by the combined Xerox and Impika development teams.

The device is a cut-sheet color inkjet printer capable of speeds of up to 182 letter/197 A4 images per minute. And, according to Yahoo news, These presses are the first innovative series of inkjet offerings to come from Xerox.
