Sun Chemical is currently looking for highly motivated candidates to fill an Inplant Manager position at a Sheetfed printer in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Functions/Responsibilities:
• Measure and manage operational performance and provide direction/leadership to Sun Chemical assigned ink technicians.
• Provide color matching as required.
• Sun Chemical liaison with customer leadership team with daily communication.
• Maintain detailed production and QC records to assist in operational effectiveness.
• Manage the inplant supply line for designated product lines.
• Deploy continuous improvement techniques for operational enhancement.
• Submit monthly VOC and Job billing documents, generated thru customer management system.
• Coordinate all Customer Technical Service support for trials and customer training.
• Further development of inplant staff through training both OJT and formal.
• Maintain and support customers’ schedule through production coordination.
• Strong press-side technical service, troubleshoot problems and keep site informed through detailed and consistent technical reporting.
• Maintain the highest of housekeeping and safe operating standards, ensuring that all Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT requirements are met in accordance with Federal, State and Corporate guidelines.
• Maintain monthly and weekly reporting.
Requirements:
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent computer skills. Must have proficient Excel and Outlook skills
• Inventory Control Techniques including Recovery.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 Procedures, OSHA and DOT Regulations
• Color matching and Blending procedures
• Technical support experience preferred
• Sheetfed printing experience required
• Experience with ink dispenser maintenance & software
