The group's product range is the broadest in the industry including commercial and newspaper web presses, sheetfed offset presses in all format classes, inkjet systems and presses, flexographic presses, special presses for banknotes, securities, metal-decorating, smart cards, glass and plastic decorating. Our Sheetfed Division is currently looking for an Installations Project Manager.


Job Responsibility: The Installation Project Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, direction, implementation, control, completion, and execution of a press installation from the signing of the contract to the commissioning of the press ensuring expectations and commitments are met for both the customer and KBA.

Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
•Review sales contract to ensure application, specifications, labor, budget, and all elements of the contract involving the installation are accurate and align with the customer’s expectations and the equipment being installed. Assess and address potential risks that could interfere with the installation.


•Set installation timeline in MS Project and monitor progress to meet project milestones and budget.


•Assemble the pre-installation manual.


•Schedule and conduct pre-installation meeting with customer making sure coordination with customer sub-contractors like HVAC, chilling, etc.


•Work with Service Department in Germany and Logistics Manager to coordinate the receipt of the press at the port and receive and hire riggers to move press from port to customer.


•Issue Purchase Orders for all necessary sub-contractors such as AGT, AMS, and Harris & Bruno.


•Coordinate the staffing of the installation through Service Department and/or factory.


•Oversee the installation crew ensuring they have the necessary documentation, parts, and tools to execute the installation and communicating the timeline, changes or issues, as necessary.


•Report and document any factory quality issues that cause delays or impact financial budget


•Assist with training and planning for installation personal, support LMS process


Qualifications


Education: High School Diploma or GED-equivalent required; but Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Project Management is preferred.


Experience: Five or more years of project management experience with capital equipment.


Computer Skills: Proficiency with MS Project, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and Outlook.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
•Ability to read schematics and drawings (both American standard and metric);
•Ability to take a large project and break it down into actionable activities for execution.
•Knowledge of machinery and capital equipment.
•Basic understanding of construction and HVAC.


Environmental Conditions
Location: This position is based from the KBA Office in Dallas, Texas, with approximately 70% travel, mostly domestic air but occasional international, with consecutive overnight stays.


Successful applicant must be willing and able to relocate to Dallas, Texas.
