Hello,
I recently purchased a Versant 80 press, it came with a Freeflow print server but that server wouldn't turn on. I could press the button on the back and the fans would spin but stop as soon as I let go of the button. So I purchased an Ex-i 80 fiery controller, setup seems pretty straightforward but I wasn't able to find any specific documentation. I don't have it installed on the machine, it's just sitting on top connected with a crossover ethernet cable. I don't believe any other cables are required?
The fiery model is e200-08.
When I boot up the fiery it eventually displays 00 on the screen which I think is correct, and the machine gets IP 100.100.100.101 which I believe is correct as well. However, the only options that display on the printer LCD are copy and network scanning functions (no fiery icon). I can't seem to connect to the fiery server from my computer. I used Command Workcenter to do a port scan but it didn't find anything on the range and I can't tell what the Fiery server IP is as this one doesn't have a GUI. About 5 minutes after the fiery is turned on it turns off again, I'm guessing it times out when it doesn't detect a connection?
Does anyone have any ideas as to what I might be missing?
