Itek - DPM 2000 CTP. Can hook up to Windows?

I am currently using a Mac in order to make plates with our DPM. My system manager is unsuccessful in trying to hook it up through our Windows network. Any tips? TKS!

are you using osx 10? using connect to server under the go in menu bar? you have to know your ip of your machine. in Network Preference pane. Not much info you gave on OS and etc.

Sorry - I wasn't clear enough on my previous note. My goal is to get rid of the Mac that is currently attached to the DPM and use a Windows Computer instead. We were unsuccessful in hooking the DPM to a Win PC.

O okay,, I assume its running XP Operating System? Maybe Vista? I am not familiar with the DPM. Does it have an IP..

Try going to 'My Network Places' and on the left side, one option says 'view workgroup computers' and see if it recognize DPM.

Are you directly connected to DPM or are you trying to connect thru ethernet like running an network machine?

We have an ethernet Win network where users send a PDF attachment to a user that receives that Email in a Mac machine - hooked to the DPM - of which he creats the plates.

Have you tried browsing for any devices in PC?.. go to network places and view workgroup computers.

Thats if you have xp on the PC>. what OS is running on PC?

OS WIN XP and yes i can see the printer in the network (dpm and rip )

and you can't access it?? what happens when you doubleclick icon? this may be beyond me
