JDF to PDF module error

haha

Member
Hello! I am running EskoArtwork TotalRip 9.0 and am receiving the following error message when going through the JDF to PDF module:

Activity:JDF to PDF Module: JDFImposition
The file file://fileserver/Current Jobs/Nexus Jobs/36613/IMPO/JDFMarksFlats/33613_I.pdf does not exist

Anyone have any ideas on why it is erroring out? The JDF is created from Preps and then converted in the workflow to a PDF. I have attached the screen shot as well...

Thanks in advance.

JDF to PDF module error

You need to setup the folder mapping so that the system can find the JDF MarksFlat PDF that is created by the Imposition application. Make sure you are creating the imposition JDF and MarksFlat PDF files on the server where Nexus can find them (which it appears you are).

I am not sure on the location of where in the module the JDF MarksFlat is located? I looked several times and cannot find it, any ideas???

JDFMarksFlat is a folder containing PDF's for you marks that Preps creates when you write the JDF.
If you ran jobs before your folder mapping should be setup. Try to delete your folder "IMPO" create a new folder for your JDF and then write a new JDF. I have seen the folder where your JDF and marks reside behave strangely for some unknown reason.

The JDFMarks folder is being created out of Preps along with the JDF file. We recently moved last week and needed to change our IP address to our Mac Server and every other hotfolder we have works fine, but the JDF to PDF hotfolder after the IP change??? Not sure why this is or what I need to change to get it functioning?

The folder remapping in the JDF to PDF module is to take what is mapped on the Workstation and remap it to what the server sees.

Example:
Workstation Path: Nexus_Mac\Current Jobs\
Server Path: E:\Server\Nexus_Mac\Current Jobs\

Since the server has no clue how the workstation folder path is. You have to tell it a translation.
