i have checked my job scal from top and bottom are ok but found about 2mm perpendicularly out.

kindly advice....

I think you are changed spin - motor.
So that is SKEW problem. Ple call Service man, Re-install Spin Motor.

Be careful - It will be come Bow problem.

Thanks

BOL is possible with communication use AVDIAG any version , But 100% can not adjust SKEW problem.

Pls call your engineer, Re-install spin motor.

If you want solve yourself, Pls Let me know.

Thanks

I am surprised. Very surprised. Installing a Spinner Motor is such a big deal. Follow my instruction step by step. Max 25 minutes included BOl. We have done this more thab 15 times online.

Spinner error 149

Spinner error 149

100% Can be done online. It all depends who is on other side of line giving you guide line.

Really!

If you were/are a service engineer for AGFA, and you have Removed/ Installed the spinner few times, you know there is only one trick to put the spinner in the holder right.
Information cost money. You are saying the BOL can be done ONLINE. Do you think it is easy to guide a customer who doesn't know how to work with AVDIAG and UNIDIAG to Align the BOL.Most of the time they can't even manage to connect to engine.

I like to know how you guide a customer who is unfamiliar with AVDIAG to Align BOL??? Sure the safety of his machine has to be our primary concern.

Hassan

I have installed a new spinner motor and solved a problem but now i m facing a new problem that front back registration problem on output

Thanks

Hassan,
As far as I understand, you have BOL probelm (If you loose part of the film on the leading or trailing edge)

you have to adjust BOL.

front back registeration problem

front back registeration problem

Avantra 44S Machine, Image on drum in the Middle, is not 100% striaght itis curve(.25mm) and because of this, 4 films registration is OK, BUT whenwe put front back it is misregister in middle, while four corner are OKregister.

Hassan,

I need you to give me some inputs.

1- Why did you change the Spinner in first place?
2- Obviously, you are experienced with the machine, or I assume you are. Closing the cover, and having the problem, means either you have not conducted enough test or the carriage hit the cover.(I need to know if it is the left or right cover standing in front of the machine?) and still why in the middle.

As your problem is in the middle of the film, there are some possibilities:

1- The carriage is hitting the Cover when it comes to home position. Every time it comes to home position you will have this problem. The possibility is low on this, but let's consider doing the following.

Disable the Carriage Home position for every image.

2) Home the Carriage Every 5th Image
There is a DEC Engine Configuration setting that can be set to request that the
imagesetter home the carriage with every image to ensure that the carriage position
remains precisely calibrated. Through testing we determined that homing the carriage
every 5th image was sufficient to maintain the carriage position calibration. A new DEC
machine parameter - CarrHomeInterval located in the I/F/B menu, is used to control this.
A value of 0 (zero) in this parameter will cause the system to home every image, a value
of 1 (one), homes the carriage every other image, etc. The default value is 4, which
causes the carriage to home every 5th image.
2- The flat cable might Cause the problem. As you close the door, you may pressurize the cable.

3- The problem might be unrelated to spinner, but the film lifting problem. It can be the Flappers while unloading the films for every image causing problem. It will mislead you to spinner. Load and cut films with open doors. Make sure the flappers do not need alignment. If you see film jam under the flapper, you will need to align your flppers.
4- Nips can cause the problem make sure they are working ok.You can work through unidiag and activate them. Let's here the noise.
5- Make sure you put the shroud(covers on spinners properly, connect the plug) and also make sure the solenoids on the Shrouds are in the good working condition.

Hope these will help.

Keep in touch

Thankyou for you detail message with inputs,

There is nothing wrong with the Cover, which is properly closed and carriage moves OK
There is nothing wrong with the spinner it is properly mounted, and puting image striaght on drum thats why registration is OK.
Film is properly vacumed on drum and there is no Film Jam in Production, so I think there is no NIP or Fliper problem.

I have a bow problem with every image, today I got an email from an engineer in UK tell me that I have to Align SGM putting shims in front (one Screw) or Back (two screws) which will make change in position of SGM slight downward from front or upward or in back.

Let me know if you have done this before, as I will proceed tomarrow this action.

Kind regards

Hassan, Befor touching that tell be if there is something wrong with the bearings?

Did you try to get the carriage out.Are bearings OK?

Why SGM is misaligned in first place?

We changed the SGM in machine, this problem occurs, New SGM we have testedon another machine which is OK, BUT in this machine we are faceing problemof bow which cause back to back not register in middle. we have taken out the carriage, bearings are perfectly OK

Hassan, From my 18 years experience, I can tell you that SGM was the last thing you had to go for. Miss alignment of Carriage or SGM will cause problem on fast scan direction of the laser. when you mentioned you have a problem in the middle only, this will eliminate SGM issue.

I do not see any problem with the optic, but I suspect the Carriage and the V-rail. There is something happens in the middle of the drum. Please try the followings on the V-rail

1- Clean the V-rail.Reach and clean the middle of the rail9 Clean inside the rail)
2- Apply small drop of soft oil to the Rail and move the carriage back and forth.

I also suspect the shrouds( the black covers on the optic). Remove one toward the right side standing in front of the machine. Close the doors and image 2 X4 color job. Any difference? If the problem disappeared. Check for operation.

Please also keep me posted on Cory's Print Planet.

Hope this will help.

Val, you and I know this.Hassan isn't a service engineer.

I am not sure if it is Bow effect. We are not on the site. These are the words(Bow Effect) used latter by Hassan. We know he had a spinner problem at the beginning of the issue.
There have been many changes on Hassan's feedback since the beginning of the problem. He is obviously tried many things. There were many suggestions as well.

What I am trying to do is to eliminate the possible causes of the problem without being on the site.;)
