Hassan,
I need you to give me some inputs.
1- Why did you change the Spinner in first place?
2- Obviously, you are experienced with the machine, or I assume you are. Closing the cover, and having the problem, means either you have not conducted enough test or the carriage hit the cover.(I need to know if it is the left or right cover standing in front of the machine?) and still why in the middle.
As your problem is in the middle of the film, there are some possibilities:
1- The carriage is hitting the Cover when it comes to home position. Every time it comes to home position you will have this problem. The possibility is low on this, but let's consider doing the following.
Disable the Carriage Home position for every image.
2) Home the Carriage Every 5th Image
There is a DEC Engine Configuration setting that can be set to request that the
imagesetter home the carriage with every image to ensure that the carriage position
remains precisely calibrated. Through testing we determined that homing the carriage
every 5th image was sufficient to maintain the carriage position calibration. A new DEC
machine parameter - CarrHomeInterval located in the I/F/B menu, is used to control this.
A value of 0 (zero) in this parameter will cause the system to home every image, a value
of 1 (one), homes the carriage every other image, etc. The default value is 4, which
causes the carriage to home every 5th image.
2- The flat cable might Cause the problem. As you close the door, you may pressurize the cable.
3- The problem might be unrelated to spinner, but the film lifting problem. It can be the Flappers while unloading the films for every image causing problem. It will mislead you to spinner. Load and cut films with open doors. Make sure the flappers do not need alignment. If you see film jam under the flapper, you will need to align your flppers.
4- Nips can cause the problem make sure they are working ok.You can work through unidiag and activate them. Let's here the noise.
5- Make sure you put the shroud(covers on spinners properly, connect the plug) and also make sure the solenoids on the Shrouds are in the good working condition.
Hope these will help.
