KM Bizhub C8000 Fiery processing speed?

Printing a variable data job processed and imposed with Fusion Pro (because bleed won't print correctly using Fierys imposer, separate issue). It is only printing at about 8ppm, the files are broken into 1 thousands and only 5.3mb each. The machine will not print continuously and is constantly caught up and waiting for file to be processed, any ideas what might be causing this horrible bottle neck at the processing stage?

Your file is a PDF and it has to RIP each page over and over. Try a PPML from Fusion Pro, you will want to do a test sheet to make sure you don't have a bunch of transparency issues. You need it import it into CW5 just use the CTRL-I short cut. You can process and hold it or just print. It will be a ZIP file that you can't preview.

On your Fiery do you have 'Cache PS Objects' checked? It would be in the Configure utility.

PPML is much faster, even with "Cache PS Objects" checked.

Makes sense, we just switched from a Nexpress to this KM. The nexpress would grind through the fusion pro pdfs much quicker so we never bothered with ppml. I have the files re-composing to ppml now, thanks for your help!
