Strengthening their presence in the growth market for corrugated board, Koenig & Bauer has acquired a 49% stake in Celmacch Group S.r.l.—manufacturer of high-board line flexo presses & rotary die-cutters for the corrugated board industry. Celmacch has over 40-years of experience for corrugated board, a segment that Koenig & Bauer also caters to with its complementary CorruCUT & CorruFLEX presses.
The Celmacch and Koenig & Bauer contract lays the foundations to collaborate on development & marketing activities on the growth market for corrugated board. For the first phase of the partnership, the focus will be placed on joint sales & service activities, further product development and expansion of the company’s assembly capacities. Koenig & Bauer has secured options to successively increase its stake in Celmacch beyond the initial 49%.

Subject to official approval from the Italian authorities, final closing is anticipated for September 2022.
