We recently purchased a 65HC and would like to know if anyone has any supporting documents or links of where we can learn more about the technical aspects of running this machine. Were printing jobs without a hitch but would love to learn a bit more so that we can increase our print quality and productivity.

P.S anybody know why our black text is sharp but color text looks a bit rough edged.

Cheers for any replies.

You could start by combing their downloads page for that model here. Rough text that is built color sounds like you need to run a color registration sequence, then recalibrate. I doubt anything with the High Chroma toner makes a difference, so there is plenty of good material on run tips for the 65xx type machines on these forums. But for grins, here are our top 5:

1. Calibrate the densitometer and calibrate to your substrates every morning without fail
2. Keep IQ_Test patterns (or a pattern of your choosing) in the queue for each substrate you use and print them daily after calibration - compare from day to day to ensure consistent throughput
3. Be diligent about keeping tray alignment up to date - your tech should teach you these procedures asap
4. Search for member UberTech and request his print tips manual for some key adjustment procedures
5. Request your key ops be trained to do cortron replacements and fuser station swaps in order to decrease down time waiting for techs - our technicians are 60+ miles out usually, so this has saved us loads of time.

Have fun!
