Konica thermal plates

Recently purchased a Screen 8600, using Konica/Minolta thermal plates. We're having serious start up issues with the plates. Does anyone have experience with this?

There's a shop in my market that uses Konica/Minolta plates with a PT-R4100. They've been pretty unhappy with the performance, but they continue to run them. Maybe a $ and ¢ thing. I don't know the specifics of their complaint.

Interesting. We have a guy trying to pitch the Konica plates right now. Are you guys using the cheaper, pre-bake plates or the commercial?

I am considering this plate for our company. What kind of start up problems are you having?
We ran some test plates and they were fine.
