"I couldn't think of what to say in response.": try non-verbal communication!

As you live in USA, I would advice the baseball bat... easy to find in your country, it's a very efficient way of silent communication with a boss...

... with the advantage of a double use: first external, then semi-internal (make sure you have some lubricant... and if you leave it in place, don't forget to remove the price sticker: it's rude to leave the price on a gift).

Yes, gordo, I know... but this forum is a US forum, and many contributors live in USA ;)

Anyway... don't you play baseball in Canada?

Otherwise, I'm quite sure that the non-verbal communication can also use an hockey stick or a cricket bat?!

Claude, don't you think that's a little over the top? I've never had to do a layoff, but I've fired people and I assure you they all richly deserved it. The ones who were upset about it generally had a sense of entitlement . . . well similar to the one that probably makes you think of such horrific revenge.

Sweet sticky stuff and cheap alcohol from Canada.

Sure appears to be CHEMISTRY to me, huh Gordo?

Or is there something I am missing about the MECHANICAL nature of your inhabitance??

Confer with Erik as necessary, and get back to us all at the Planet so you all can retain the title.

Hey guys, it's just a joke!!! ;)

That being said, each case is a particular case...
I've fired one guy, once: a non-paid trainee... The day I fired him I was completely sure that he completely deserve it... but one week later I was no more that sure... and now I'm sure that I overreacted :(

The first recorded game of baseball was in Canada. Although we basically invented the game it is nowhere near as popular as it is in the States.

Baseball??! Isn't that the game first mentioned in in Britain around 1740-ish?
We call it "rounders" and it is pretty much a girls game:p

Baseball use to be the national past time of the greatest country on the face of the earth. To many, it still is, but football (like "REAL" football) has mostly taken it's place. Hardly a girl's game Slammer.

Real football, like the one played with the foot and with a ball? Didn't know god's own country played that, I thought the American national sport is this almost but not quite entirely unlike a game of Rugby- hand-egg you play...

Really??? I'm confused, I believed that base-ball was mainly played in USA, and you say that it is played in China???

... but football (like "REAL" football) ...
The you play with hands, believing it is real football?
Or the real one, played with feet by ALL other countries?

One thing for sure; it ain't played in gay Parie
??? what do you really want to say?

"it ain't played in gay Pride" (too bad, should be funny to see a base-ball game in the middle of the Gay Pride!!!)

or

"it ain't played in gai Paris", trying clumsily to make an allusion to my french nationality?
For the record (and your spelling education), despite a similar prononciation, in french "gai" and "gay" do not have the same meaning: "gai" means "happy", "merry"...

And "parie" is a conjugation of the verb "parier", which means "to bet"... but I guess that you simply misspell "Paris"?

Or perhaps are you trying to say that homosexual people are not allowed to bet on base-ball games??? :D
