Currently, we’re using ORIS Doublesided Matte proofing paper that initially gave us very good/acceptable results. The problem we’re having now with the 2-sided paper is that we’re getting faint white lines (no ink) from, it seems, the printheads getting clogged. The lines are evenly spaced about a quarter of an inch apart and it happens on either side of the paper.
Printing is done to an Epson 9900 via Oris Color Tuner. We had a technician in to look at the Epson and he seemed to think that the coating/powder from the 2-sided paper was possibly coming off of the paper and clogging the heads. We get no white lines whatsoever when printing to our one-sided, ORIS Pearlproof semi-matte proofing paper.
So my question is, is anyone using and having good results with this 2-sided proofing paper or is anyone using another type of 2-sided paper for contract proofing and getting good results?
