Magenta ink on a komori press

It will print with less guts on a matte than coated gloss, any ink. If you're looking for more pop on a matte, consider two impressions if not process printing. I suggest a 40% screen 1st down and a solid 2nd down. If process printing, ask your ink supplier for a warmer, STRONGER magenta. You need at least 16.5% of pigment 57:1 Lithol Rubine in your ink to be considered STRONG. D
