Major update of callas pdfToolbox—10

Callas software’s release of pdfToolbox-10—available now—is a major update for this product. Version-10 detects more problems with greater accuracy, is cloud deployable, has more conditional processing features, preflight reports and more.

The latest preflight engine has the capability to check the relationship between objects in a broad fashion. Some examples of where this technology is useful:

• Detection of bleed.
• Checking whether objects are inside or outside an irregular die-line.
• Determining whether black set-on / knock-out will be a problem.
• Avoiding false positives: files that are no problem in production, but are still flagged as problematic.
• Using mathematic algorithms to determine relationships between objects—overlap, intersect proximity.
• Fully customizable preflight reports where both design & content can be modified to fit specific needs.
• Step-by-step execution of profiles, checks, fixes, actions & conditional processing.
• Another process within a Process Plan can now be called, making it easier to reuse processing logic & create multiple output files.
