have 2 used metal ctp units considering. Heidelberg Prosetter 52 and Creo Lotem 400v.
want to get to chem free, Creo ready to go since thermal, Prosetter may have violet chem free plates sometime?? Any input on which is better unit and which would be easier to sell in future?

Obviously I'm biased here, but the "V" on the Lotem indicates that it's the high-end model (in terms of speed / imaging power). Most V's are also "Quantum", meaning that they have our SQUAREspot imaging head technology - giving exceptional consistency, latitude, and robustness to the imaging process. That translates into better stability in prepress and also on press, saving you money and making the whole process easier. The machine should say Quantum on it somewhere, or have a SQUAREspot logo.

Even if it's not a Quantum, the value would normally be higher for the Lotem. However, it also depends on other options like automation, built-in punching, condition, etc. Our Kodak service reps can help if needed - contact me privately if you need any contact info.
