Mid-Volume Booklet Maker (Duplo, Horizon or Bourg)

We are an all digital shop looking to replace our current offline booklet maker (Horizon SPF-11) with a new automated system. We are currently looking at a Horizon HOF/SPF-20, Duplo DSF2000 / DBM-500 or the Bourg Power Square 200. Does anyone have thoughts or experience with any of these units. The Duplo/Bourg seem the most focused for digital print but we like the quality of Horizon. Is there still a quality differential between Horizon and Duplo or has Duplo upped their products longevity?

We run a lot of Duplo kit (including a system 5000) and also some Horizon kit. The Horizon machinery has been a lot more reliable over the years and the servicing & repair costs are more reasonable. Sorry, don't know about the Bourg.

We've run a Bourg for the last 9 years. It's well built and has been very reliable. Service has also been reliable. Parts not in stock are usually delivered next day.

We'll be upgrading our digital machines though either Xerox and/or Oce. With whichever machines we go with, we'll definitely have the PS 200 on the end.
