Mimaki SV3 1600 sp

My rip system is Called Best Color, now owned by efi, Efi wants to sell me a new rip system for lots of $$. Question is, Is it posible to use the Best Rip system (8 years old) to use as a rip for a Mimaki SV3 1600 sp. I am purchasing a used Mimaki and do not want to discover problems on the back end.

Your old version of Best should run the machine if it has a driver for it.

However it's still a pretty outdated RIP even if it does.

One thing I might be able to offer you is a slimmed-down version of Onyx that would exactly fit your needs and no more, as well as a day or two of custom-profiling and complete color workflow management training for possibly less than you're being quoted by EFI.
